Me: I only want to hear Your Words, not my thoughts most vain As I sit and listen Your Presence to attain Thoughts and feelings from this world clamor so intense I must still my heart to give You eminence
Lord: You have chosen wisely to listen for My voice There are many consequences to your every choice It is in My Presence our hearts are knit together Through the storms of life, I am here to help you weather
If you are always speaking, how can you hope to hear? Be still and listen for My voice, invite Me to draw near Give Me time to answer you as you quietly wait There are many ways I speak to communicate
Thoughts that come to mind might be My voice you hear I might send a picture to your mind that isn’t very clear Stop and ask Me what this means and what do I require? Obedience, trust, and love is My main desire
If a scripture comes to mind, that is the place to start I speak through My Word that you have hidden in your heart When you quietly wait, I am willing to draw near My Presence you are seeking will suddenly appear
