Days of victory are upon us, so I say, rejoice Lift up a shout of praise with a loud commanding voice This sound will knock our enemies over like a wind-blown leaf Granting us swift victory, and from their tyranny–relief The Lion of the tribe of Judah gives a loud, long roar Arriving on the battlefield as a mighty conqueror Lining up behind Him are His troops in fierce array Causing enemy forces to quake in their dismay Like the shout at Jericho that demolished their great wall The strongholds of our enemy will begin to crumble, then will fall Lift up a shout of praise as our faith turns into sight For the glory of our God and King, we’ll for our country fight Debbie Furey October 1, 2021 Joshua 6:16 – The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the LORD has given you the city!” Joshua 5, 6 As I was praying this morning, I sensed a fierce battle approaching for our country, but I also sensed a great victory. In the battle of Jericho, the odds were not on the side of Israel. In faith they marched forward with the help of God and took the city in a short time because of the Lord’s help and direction. Can you imagine the fear of the enemy as they heard the shout of God’s people and then saw their wall of protection fall before their very eyes? Their strength would have left them. The battle was short and victorious. The command to shout was a step of faith. The impenetrable walls of the enemy were standing before them. They looked beyond what they could see and believed instead what God told them through their prophetic leaders. The shout of faith is a mighty weapon in the hands of God’s people.
