Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” Deuteronomy 8:3 – “He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.” Exodus 16 Psalm 78:23–25 John 6:25–59 When Jesus spoke the words in John 6:51 above, many of His disciples left Him because they didn’t understand what He was saying. He was comparing the words in the Bible to His flesh. Just like you need food for your body, your spirit needs the Word of God for your soul. These words are the food that will keep you alive in Jesus.
