Time will tell the truth of the promises God made On that wonderous “Day” when each person shall be weighed Will we be found wanting on the scale God will use? Will His Word excuse us, or will it accuse? On that great “Day” we will pass through the fire Our works will be judged, our rewards we’ll acquire Will the quality be proved, or will our loss be great? God’s Word will be final, there will be no debate Each will be rewarded according to our labor Did our love extend to both foe and our neighbor? It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.” 1 Corinthians 3:1–15
