Favor

I love each one the same, not one more than the rest
Even though each life is different, they still have the same test
Who will trust and love Me? Who will then believe?
Who will still have faith, My promise to receive?

Those who trust and love Me, My favor is poured out
It’s for all who will believe Me, and choose not to doubt
A mighty, gushing river of My Spirit’s power
Sent on those who walk in faith, and those who will not cower

Will you serve and honor Me all your earth-filled days?
You must seek My face, and walk in all My ways
My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest
My favor will be shown, on those whom I called blessed

Genesis 4:3-7 – “In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. 4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So, Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
6 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Psalm 84:11 – “For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”

Exodus 33:12-23

The Bible makes it clear that God loves everyone and wants all to come to the knowledge of who He is and how much He loves them. But it is also clear that God shows His favor on people differently. If you look up the word favor in the Bible concordance and read all the verses in the Bible where it occurs, it is apparent that the Lord bestows favor on those who love and honor Him. What a privilege to know we can walk in God’s favor.
