Like a plug being pulled in the middle of a drain Water is receding, exposing their domain The stench is overpowering by what is exposed Things that are now hidden, soon will be disclosed They think they have control and celebrate with pomp But masks will be removed to show they’re creatures from the swamp Once they ruled by fear, now it will chase them down They cannot escape, now their world is upside down There is not a man that could have done all this Our Lord God of Hosts has the keys to the abyss He has a master plan to reach the nations of the earth The gospel now revealed as treasure of great worth Those who once were enemies, will become our friend The grace and mercy of our God, they can now comprehend The great harvest is beginning, go and take your part Fields are ripe and ready to hear the beating of God’s heart Debbie Furey January 24, 2021 Colossians 2:15 – “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” Colossians 3 John 4:34-42 As I was thinking this morning about the campaign slogan to drain the swamp, a picture came into my mind of a huge drain with the plug being pulled. Dirty muddy water went down into the whirlpool and exposed what and who was hidden underneath the swamp water. The sight and smell were horrible. Unimaginable things were there that nobody had any clue about. As they were exposed the creatures tried to run and hide but there was nowhere to go. I believe the draining of the swamp is connected to the great harvest that the Bible talks about in Matthew 24:14. There is no one person that could have done all of this except God. He is preparing to answer the prayer of countless prior generations for the gospel to be preached to the whole world. Be obedient to go into the harvest field and be an answer to someone’s prayer.
