Remember This

When you eat this bread and drink this wine
You become a part of a plan divine
An ancient agreement written in Christ’s blood
One between man and God our righteous Judge

Remember this when you eat communion’s bread
Christ is alive, no longer buried, and dead
He paid the price for you and for me
Dying for our sins on Calvery’s cursed tree

Remember this when you drink communion’s wine
Christ’s blood was shed by purposeful design
Now we’re overcomers by the blood of the Lamb
Decreed righteous and forgiven by the great “I AM”

The blood, the blood, will never lose its power
Confess its protection any day or hour
Our enemy must flee like a receding flood
Anytime you mention Jesus’ atoning blood

Revelation 12:10-11 – “Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God, day and night, has been hurled down. 11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”
