Restored, forgiven, accepted am I
When I turn in repentance and to myself die
If you think you have no sin you are deceived
The truth is not in you and the Lord is grieved
God is faithful and just to forgive every sin
To those who repent and accept discipline
Do not be discouraged and then lose heart
Grace and mercy are waiting from God to impart
Lord, I invite You to search my heart and soul
So I may judge myself and escape sin’s control
I’ll walk in the light so that darkness will flee
Being filled with God’s love will set me free

1 John 1:8-9 – “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Hebrews 12:9-10 – “Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.”
1 John 1:5–10
Hebrews 12:1–11
So many times, the faults we see in others are what we are guilty of ourselves. That is why the Lord told us to take the plank out of our own eyes before we try to take the splinter out of someone else’s eyes. When we see faults in others that we don’t like, we need to ask ourselves do I do those same things? If we are honest, we are not without sin, sometimes even the same sin we see in others.
