Divine power to deliver from the evils of sin
Leads to devotion to the Lord and holy discipline
“If you love Me, you will obey Me,” says the Lord on high
“To find your life in Me, to the world you must die”
“This new life I will bring you can’t even compare,
To the old life you lived, in sin, unaware
Divine power comes down when you surrender your will
Your destiny in life you will now fulfill”
“When you walk in divine power, you must learn to love
That is what counts most in the courts of heaven above
Everything you go through tries to teach you of this
The atmosphere of heaven is filled with love’s bliss”

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 – “Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?”
Romans 6:11-14 – “In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.”
Matthew 10:38-39 – “Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.”
