To be children of the day, you must shun the night 
Those who dwell in darkness run from the light 
The blackest of black is reserved for those 
Who despise Me-and My ways they oppose 

Darkness exists because the light has gone out 
The pleasures of this life have turned faith into doubt 
Selfishness and greed have replaced love for each other
You must care for and forgive one another

Do My works now for the night is encroaching
Reflect Me as you see My glory approaching
The night will soon come when no one can work
It is in deepest darkness that wickedness lurks

Jude 1:12-13 – “These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead. 13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.”

1 John 2:11 – “But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.”

John 9:4-5 – “As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Matthew 6:22-23 – “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”
