I heard the Lord say:

Tell me, what did you learn from the previous day?
Did you hear Me speaking to your heart yesterday?
Each day is a chance to grow in wisdom and in love
You must stop to listen when I speak from above

When you get too busy, you can’t hear My still, small voice
There are great consequences to your every choice
Therefore, that is why you need to stop and inquire
You don’t know the future and what will transpire

Every word I speak has eternity in mind
All things work for your good and are intertwined
If you stop and inquire, I will let you know
My thoughts and intentions and the way you should go

James 4:13-17 – “Now listen, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.’ 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, ‘If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.’ 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.”

John 5:19-20 – “Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.”
