Nations Conspire

My feet are dancing above the pit they are digging
I’m laughing at the gallows the enemies are rigging
In the pit they are making, they themselves will fall
Like Hamon they will hang on their own gallows tall

In faith I am believing God will win the victory
Over enemies who revel in their own iniquity
They spread a trap to catch the righteous in their net
Not understanding there is a God who will not forget

The nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain
God rebukes them in His anger and scoffs at them in disdain
The One enthroned in heaven, looks down and laughs
“Only fools despise the Lord,” will be their epitaph

Psalm 7:14-16 – “Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment. 15 Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit they have made.
16 The trouble they cause recoils on them; their violence comes down on their own heads.”

Psalm 35:7-9 – “Since they hid their net for me without cause and without cause dug a pit for me, 8 may ruin overtake them by surprise—may the net they hid entangle them, may they fall into the pit, to their ruin. 9 Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD and delight in his salvation.”
