Do you hear Me when I call? Will your heart say yes?
Your many reasons to decline are quite bottomless
In your own strength, I agree, the task is far beyond you
The calling is enough, I will help you see it through

You would not need faith if you could do it in your power
As you look to Me–your task will blossom, grow and flower
You will need My help for each decision that you make
To move forth on your own knowledge would be a big mistake

It’s a way to keep you humble when you have to look to Me
Don’t presume to know the way in self pride’s ability
The task might seem impossible and incredibly tough
I am there to guide you-the calling is enough

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 – “With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 12 We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 1:26-29 – “Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.”
