These are the days of the harvest, they are days of war
The crop is ripe and ready to be brought to Heaven’s door
Storm clouds are gathering, threatening to destroy
Their plans are all in place and ready to deploy

The Lord of the harvest watches from above
Ruling over all things with justice and great love
In answer to saints praying, He holds back the gathering storm
Releasing angel armies to battle and transform

The workers are released to fields of waving grain
Alongside angel armies to fight for their domain
God’s kingdom is advancing, over all the earth
Proving God’s great love for all and that they have great worth

John 4:34–35 – “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. 35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.”

Nehemiah 4:16-18 – “From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah 17 who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, 18 and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. But the man who sounded the trumpet stayed with me.”

Matthew 11:12 – “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence,  and violent people have been raiding it.”
