The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn 
When the morning star rises in the east, with a song 
Shining ever brighter until the full light of day 
Following the Son, who is our Life, Truth, and Way 

The way of the wicked is like the deep darkness of night
Because their ways are evil, they try to avoid the light
Filled with pride, they do not know what makes them stumble
Blindly, they fight God and His children, the humble

Whoever lives by the truth will come into the light
Being changed by God’s glory into His likeness bright 
Who may ascend the hill and stand in God’s holy place?
Those with a pure heart will one day see God’s face

John 3:19-21 – “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”

2 Corinthians 3:18 – “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
