Me: 
I only want Your way, oh Lord, that is what I pray 
My heart is open to Your truth, teach me to obey 
Discipline and trust I’ll need to follow to the end
Disciples aren’t just servants, You call them Your friend 

Oh, to be a friend of God, what would that require? 
To remain close by Your side is what I aspire 
Like a branch in a vine, Your life flows into me
When I surrender to Your will, I’ll fulfill my destiny 

Lord:
If you remain in Me, and My Words you willingly do 
Ask whatever you wish and it will be given you 
Take the love I pour out and let it overflow 
You will bear much fruit and My kingdom then will grow 

Don’t let your heart be troubled, and do not be afraid 
I will be your comfort, and I will give you aid
Isn’t that what friends do while living on this earth? 
I gave My life for you to show you your true worth

John 15:12-15 – “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”

John 15:7-8 – “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
