Times Are in My Hand

My time had not yet come when I received a request
In the village of Cana where I was a wedding guest
All the wine was gone and then My mother looked at Me
With faith in her heart she spoke, “The wine jars are empty”

My Father’s heart was moved by this requested need
So, He changed the time and told Me to proceed
All wine starts as water so I changed it’s time
I took it from its form to a product more sublime

Times are in My hand and I change them as I will
You are an empty vessel that I long to fill
As My Spirit enters, living water will then flow
From My Father’s throne to empty vessels here below

If anyone is thirsty let them come to Me
I will surely satisfy and set your spirit free
I invite you to a wedding, will you be My bride?
The Book of Life records what you will decide

John 5:19–20 – “Jesus gave them this answer: ‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.”’

John 7:37–39 – “On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, ‘Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.’ 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.”

John 2:1–11; 5:17–30
