Be Revived

I long to hear the stories of old
Listening to tales of God’s grace unfold
Thrilling my heart and filling my soul
Taking the broken and making them whole

Be revived, my soul, God is ever the same
I stand on His Word and with my mouth proclaim
God’s promises I speak with a bold voice
His power goes forth, in faith I rejoice

Angels attend me with unseen zeal
Answering prayers to deliver and heal
Be revived, oh my soul, and with faith arise
Fix your eyes on the goal, and reach for the prize!

Proverbs 13:12 – “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”

Philippians 3:12-14 – “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Day of My Wrath

On that great day when My judgments shall fall
Sword, plague, and wild beasts will answer the call
Riding the pale horse comes death with great power
Taking peace from the earth causing all men to cower

When the day of My wrath comes, who will be able to stand?
There will be no place to hide from My outstretched hand
The earth will start quaking and the moon turn blood red
Men’s hearts will fail inside of them with terror and dread

The sum of man’s rebellion will unloose the seven seals
Seven bowls of wrath poured out in thunderous roars and peals
Then with truth and justice, I will come to reign
Snatching back the earth from the enemy’s dark domain

With My robe dipped in blood, on a white horse I’ll ride
In the war that was planned there will be no place to hide
With My sharp sword I’ll strike down the nations
Bringing peace to the earth with great celebrations

A new world is coming out of Heaven like a bride
My people are dressed in white to reign by My side
Every tear will be gone, behold, all is made new
This is the promise My Word gives to you

Revelation 6:7–8 – “When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.”

Revelation 6, 19, 21

Victory

The Lord has given me victory, praise His Holy Name
Over the rulers of darkness, sin, guilt and shame
This I cannot do in my own strength and power
I invite His Spirit to rule me, guide me and empower

By God’s Spirit that lives in me I have been set free
I’ve set my heart on God’s desires to have the victory
The mind of sinful man leads to death, misery and strife
But the mind controlled by His Spirit brings abundant life

What, then, shall I say in response to this?
If I’m not obedient, I would be remiss
I am more than a conqueror through Him who lives in me
Because of His great love, I live in victory

Hear Wisdom Calling

The source of wisdom’s springs are in the heart of God
This river of life flows from there to water the earth’s sod
The Lord has created us from the dust of the earth
By imparting His breath, He has given us much worth

Sin entered the world and all springs became polluted
Earthly wisdom replaced divine, its power was diluted
If you listen closely, you can hear wisdom calling
“Come and dwell with me, before night is falling”

To live with wisdom and truth, the Lord you must fear
Approach His holy hill, He bids you draw near
Speak the truth in your heart as you seek God’s face
Those whose walk is blameless dwells in the Holy Place

Genesis 2:4–7 – “ This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the LORD God made the earth and the heavens.
5 Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, 6 but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. 7 Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”

You Will Be Mine

Me:
You are worthy of a bride that’s devoted and pure
One who is holy and shuns sin’s allure
On the day of Your coming only those will endure
Who take heed to Your Word and Your Presence secure

Lord:
Fear the Lord and honor My Holy Name
Gather with others to declare My great fame
The fire of My Presence will set hearts aflame
Let this be your testimony, “I overcame”

You will be Mine on that great day
When I make up My treasure to put on display
You will see the distinction of those who obey
Between those who serve God and those who stray

Open Up the Floodgates

Lord, open up the floodgates of Your Spirit in this hour
Your mighty gushing river will supply the heavenly power
What will be left standing, along the surging course?
The power of sin is shattered by Your crushing force

Send a new awakening to revive the souls of those
A flood of love and mercy from Your heart that overflows
Wake up those slumbering who have drifted from Your path
The harvest field lies ripe to gather from sin’s wrath

Lord, send us forth in power to reap Your harvest field
Purify our hearts so toward Your ways we’ll yield
Even the strongest demons will submit to Your great Name
All the earth will know of Your great glory and Your fame

John 7:37-39 – “On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.”

Luke 10:17–20 – “The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

First Love

Me:
You are always near even when I cannot tell
As I seek Your Presence, my earthly thoughts dispel
They are like a fog, obscuring Your sweet face
In faith I hear You calling me from my hiding place

Lord:
You will clearly see Me when I become your main desire
You have been proved faithful through many a trial and fire
Do not forsake your first love, who paid a heavy price
I ransomed you and set you free at great sacrifice

Find in Me all your delight, forsake the world instead
The tree of life is found in Me, your living bread
I invite you, come and dine, until you are satisfied
Remember it was for your love, that I bled and died

John 6:48–51 – “ I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

Psalm 37:4 – “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Flame of Faith

There is a song in my heart in the darkest of days
When all around me, evil gloats in her ways
She thinks, “No one can touch me, I am secure”
But when God’s people start praying, she can no longer endure

The flame of faith lights God’s Word in the night
When all seems darkest, behold, a lamp shining bright
A light to drive out darkness so everyone can see
Truth exposing lies propagated by our enemy

Do not despair over your failures and sins
When light battles darkness, the Son always wins
Turn toward Him, and with repentance embrace
Your countenance reflecting His mercy and grace

Throne of Your Presence

Lord, lead me, guide me, so I don’t go astray
I need to see Your pathway so I don’t disobey
You are not a God that can be driven on a cart
You lead by Your Spirit, in my head and in my heart

Priests held Your Ark on their shoulders lifted high
The throne of Your Presence is what it signified
You’re not made of wood or stone that we can drive about
Carried by our own will as an idol we can flout

Before the throne of Your Presence, King David danced with joy
Angelic hosts joined with him, in protective convoy
The throne of Your Presence now dwells within my heart
Be lifted up on high and Your guidance now impart

Where Your River Flows

Confirm to me Your will, the way that I should go
So the water of Your Spirit will from my belly flow
Rivers of living water pour to quench my thirsty soul
A flood of God’s great glory send to heal and make me whole

Sometimes the path of life takes an unexpected turn
That is when I need to stop and listen and discern
Which way should I go, to be in Your perfect will?
As I pray and wait, I am learning to be still

It is not in the wind or fire that I hear Your voice
If my eyes could see You, my flesh could then rejoice
But, I don’t want to miss the blessing that is reserved for those
Who walk by faith, in the Spirit, where Your river flows

John 7:37–39 (KJV) – “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”
