Walking in the Light

With my whole heart, Lord, I want to worship You
So easily I stray, doing what I want to do
Holy Spirit, draw me close, so I can follow where You lead
Glory rays descending-to meet my deepest need

The brightness of Your Presence is hidden from my eye
As I step out from the shadows, a Godly path I spy
Walking in the light, is now the way I choose
Your forgiveness of my sins, refreshes and renews

Fill me with Your love, so I can give You more
As I open up my heart to worship and adore
You alone are worthy, of all of my praise
As I seek to follow You all my earthly days

God’s Army

God’s army marching forward in confidence and power
Shining armor gleaming–with God’s glory they’re empowered
Courage, faith and love are set firm in every face
Leading them is Truth–clothed in mercy and God’s grace

All of hell is stirred as they hear their marching feet
God’s enemy’s final destiny is not victory but defeat
Amassing legions of demonic armies are filled with burning hate
Determined to take humanity with them to their fiery fate

As God’s army advances, life springs up from everywhere
God’s message of salvation bringing hope from deep despair
Ones who once were enemies, now swelling up their ranks
Joining them in worship with praise, blessings and thanks

Come and join God’s army–the invitation is for all
You must lay down your life to answer heaven’s call
No one needs to fear–your Commander leads the way
He brings us out of earth’s deep darkness to eternal day

Ephesians 6:12 – “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

1 Chronicles 14:13-17
Ephesians 6:10-20

Convergence

The aligning of God’s plans converging with the times
Each dancing to a tune–an orchestration so sublime
A convergence on a grand scale beyond the thoughts of men
Eternal fates decided–the likes not seen again

These plans can be delayed when disobedience rules our hearts
When we choose our own way, our guidance then departs
Left then on our own we have a choice to make
Will we choose the cross and all our sins forsake?

God’s plans are moving forward, don’t be left behind
The converging of God’s kingdom to dwell with all mankind
A sifting comes beforehand to separate the tares from wheat
The choice is ours to make–hellfire or mercy seat?

Matthew 3:11-12 – “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

Matthew 3:1-12
Matthew 13:1-30

Be Willing to Obey

I will not wait forever for you to do My will
You always have an option because you have free will
It is by obedience you prove your love for Me
By your faith and trust, you show fidelity

When you’re willing to obey you are purified by fire
If I am your first love, you’ll make Me your desire
Delight yourself in Me and trust My love for you
Then you will see My peace descend like morning dew

If you only knew what your obedience would achieve
A result so amazing, you could not conceive
Could you expect any less from the God you serve?
Rewards are stored in heaven for those worthy who deserve

Revelation 2:4-5 – “Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. 5 Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.”

Psalm 37:3-6

Reporting for Duty

On this day of all days, martyrs are dying for the Lord
Some think it’s an honor to cut their heads off with a sword
Things go on as normal half the world away
Not knowing there is a war-it seems like just another day

How can the same sun look down in horror and delight?
God’s army is on leave, not preparing for the fight
An ambush is in the making-hidden is their plan
Will this war be over, before it even began?

The call is going out, “Go to your battle station”
It sounds from every quarter, media and location
Make sure you have your armor on and weapons prepared for war
The Spirit is directing us to run toward the roar

God’s army is amassing, arrayed with heavenly beauty
Answering the call put out and reporting for their duty
Mighty battalions marching, with love and truth as their shield
Capturing from the enemy the Lord’s harvest field

Rebuild, Restore

A sinner saved by grace–that’s who I’ll always be
So beloved of God that He came and died for me
His love will never change throughout eternity
You’re invited to become a part of His great family

Ascend His holy mountain, He bids you, “Come draw near”
“Those who seek My Presence are the ones who will hear
He whose walk is blameless can change the atmosphere
My glory will surround those whose hearts are pure, sincere”

“I have given you dominion upon the earth and all within
To restore the devastation brought about by mankind’s sin
Obedience will prove to Me your love is genuine
Your virtues are developed by work and discipline”

“Rebuild the ancient ruins, restore the sun-scorched land
For all who are oppressed, lend a helping hand
I’ve given you the power to fulfill what I have planned
No power that comes against you will be able to withstand”

“I will guide you always and satisfy each need
If you obey My Word, and follow where I lead
I’ve paid the price for the world, in My hand I hold its deed
Choose whom you will serve for all eternity, I plead”

Revelation 11:15 – “The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”

Psalm 24:3-6 – “Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?
4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. 5 They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Savior. 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.”

Power to Create

Me:
The earth declares Your glory, how can it not astound?
Your Words brought into being the world with its sound
The universe expands from the shockwave of Your voice
Causing many angels to wonder and rejoice

Lord:
Your words also have the power to create
When you speak in faith, authority you activate
This power I have given, to the sons of men
To those who have received Me they are My children

You are being trained to reign with Me on high
What I have done for you, you must testify
Speak life-giving words that have the power to create
My love for all creation you must communicate

The value of a child is worth more than all the stars
To purchase your healing, I have born many scars
You must learn to love the creation like I do
My power you’ll receive and your enemies you’ll subdue

Job 38:4-7 NKJV – “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

John 1:12-13 NKJV – “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Romans 8:14 NKJV – “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”

Dying to Self

Me:
Faithful, so faithful, You always are to me
Teaching me patiently how to be holy
Explaining Your covenant written in Your blood
When evil tempts in an overwhelming flood

Lord:
I am standing near waiting to help in time of need
In every trial, I want you to succeed
A victor’s crown waits for those who win the race
I am for you, not against you, showering you with grace

For the joy set before Me I endured the cross
When dying to self, you will suffer much loss
A victory awaits you on the other side
A place beside Me, where forever you’ll abide

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 – “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.”

2 Timothy 4:7-8 – “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

Hebrews 12:1-3 – “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

Acts 20:24-38
Hebrews 12

Glory in Your Weaknesses

Walking in My power has great potential to corrupt
Leading others to yourself has the power to disrupt
Being used by Me is not My endorsement of you
You invite delusion if you think that this is true

The words that I give you will have prophecy’s design
Your interpretation of My Word is not always Mine
My Holy Spirit will only testify of Me
Glory more in your weaknesses than in your ability

Don’t take pride in your position or your heavenly power
Lest you turn your eyes from Me in victory’s final hour
Be clothed in humility so I can send My grace
Those who walk in pride will surely fall into disgrace

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 – “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.”

1 Corinthians 2:3-5 – “I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 – “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

1 Corinthians 1, 2

I’ll Meet You

You can be as close to Me as you so desire
Lay aside that which hinders and you will acquire
When you draw near to Me, I draw near to you
Seek Me with the eyes of your heart and I’ll come into view

It is you that determines how close we will be
I am waiting to be found by those who will seek Me
It is you that determines how you share your day
When you choose to be with Me, I’ll meet you as you pray

Be careful so you don’t confuse that which comes from your own mind
Don’t think those thoughts and feelings are Mine, intertwined
Ask of Me and I will give you wisdom, peace, and grace
That is what is waiting, for all who seek My face

Jeremiah 29:11-13 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Malachi 3:16-18 – “Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.
