In my garden of delights, I sense Your Presence there The music of the fountain complements my prayer In the stillness of the morn, I wait for Your reply Your voice I long to hear and with peace You satisfy In the beauty of the garden, Your loving care I see Everything I need and long for–You put in there for me I must tend it carefully so the fruit can quickly grow Sending out a fragrance to reap and then bestow You are master of my garden and also of my heart Causing life to spring forth from each Word You now impart I’ll take each Word You send and plant them in my soul Producing a great harvest that’s vast and beautiful Debbie Furey May 28, 2022 Song of Songs 4:16 – “Awake, north wind, and come, south wind! Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread everywhere. Let my beloved come into his garden and taste its choice fruits.” Ephesians 5: 23–27 – “For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.” Song of Songs 4 Ephesians 5 In the Song of Songs chapter 4, the lover compares his beloved to a garden. The beloved then invites her lover into the garden so they can partake of the fruit together. What a beautiful picture of Jesus, our Bridegroom, and His Bride the church. It is a love story for the ages and we get to be a part of it, if we are the church. Do not neglect the invitation to be His Bride. He paid a great price for her with His blood that He shed on the cross.

Escape Sin’s Control
Restored, forgiven, accepted am I When I turn in repentance and to myself die If you think you have no sin you are deceived The truth is not in you and the Lord is grieved God is faithful and just to forgive every sin To those who repent and accept discipline Do not be discouraged and then lose heart Grace and mercy are waiting from God to impart Lord, I invite You to search my heart and soul So I may judge myself and escape sin’s control I’ll walk in the light so that darkness will flee Being filled with God’s love will set me free Debbie Furey May 31, 2022 1 John 1:8-9 – “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Hebrews 12:9-10 – “Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.” 1 John 1:5–10 Hebrews 12:1–11 So many times, the faults we see in others are what we are guilty of ourselves. That is why the Lord told us to take the plank out of our own eyes before we try to take the splinter out of someone else’s eyes. When we see faults in others that we don’t like, we need to ask ourselves do I do those same things? If we are honest, we are not without sin, sometimes even the same sin we see in others.
Quest of Mine
To be aware of Your Presence, is a quest of mine By faith I know You are there, radiating life divine Even though I don’t feel the rays of Your glorious love My thoughts dwell on Your promises sent from heaven above Your Word illuminates my path, helping me to see It’s a treasure map that leads the way to my final destiny I’m finding riches along the way–in heaven they are stored Gifts from my Beloved, much more than I could afford This quest of mine will end one day and I will see Your face The long, hard path I had traveled–I’ll find was paved with grace My obedience and love are the riches I will offer You that day Earth’s sufferings growing dim–heaven’s glory will far outweigh Debbie Furey February 13, 2020 Romans 8:18 – “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” 1 Timothy 6:18-19 – “Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.” Luke 12:29-34 Hebrews 11:8-16
Message of the Butterfly
It is only by our dying that we can enter the new life Sometimes death whimpers softly, but oft times with much strife Dying to self is definitely hard–will it never end? The many forms it takes is difficult to comprehend Just like the caterpillar in its worm-like state Travels on the ground not knowing of it’s fate Until it gazes upward, and climbs up in a tree Spinning it’s own shroud–sealing its destiny The new life that emerges is nothing like the past Soaring on wings of color to a new world that is vast Never again to crawl the earth, it’s made to dwell on high Don’t be afraid to die to self is the message of the butterfly Debbie Furey February 7, 2020 Matthew 10:38-39 – “Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Romans 6:1-14, 7:4-6 Ephesians 4:22-32
Quiet Times
It is in the quiet times you hear Me speaking best Sometimes late at night I wake you up from slumbers rest In the silent darkness you can hear My still small voice Rise up or stay in bed-you must make the choice Before the turmoil of the day, I greet you at the dawn Sometimes you are too busy; and before I know-you’re gone When you take the time to meet Me, quiet all your thoughts That is when you’ll hear Me best and from My Word be taught Meet Me in the Secret Place, I’m waiting for you there I have much to tell you and I want to hear your cares When you linger in My Presence, My glory I’ll impart You’ll be a witness to the world, of My loving heart Debbie Furey March 17, 2020 Matthew 6:6 – “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Psalm 23:1-3 Matthew 14:22-23
Visions of the Dawn
The morning sun awakes the dawn with pinks, blues and creams Visions of such loveliness, stirs my hopes and dreams Let Your light break through any darkness hiding deep in me Causing Your glory to arise, so Your beauty in me they’ll see Thick darkness covers the earth with sin, deceiving those who are lost If they do not repent and turn, there will be a terrible cost Visions of the dawning kingdom, emerging through the night Piercing through clouds of despair, shining with glory bright Many will turn towards this light, to seek the Lord and pray As they humble and die to self–God’s glory they’ll display Visions of the dawn that’s coming, fills my heart with hope As I dream of what will be, with prophetic telescope Debbie Furey January 11, 2020 Isaiah 60:1-3 – “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. 3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” Revelation 9:20-21 Isaiah 61 I got the first line of this poem this morning, looking out the window and seeing the colors of the beautiful dawn sky.

Life Lessons
Lord, it is by many trials I learn life lessons best You keep my feet from slipping when I’m going through a test Help my faith to rise as I am living out each one Refine my heart like gold as each fiery battle’s done There is tremendous cost to each lesson that I learn It cannot be paid by others or by money that I earn Each sacrifice I go through, I will offer up to You For You alone are worthy, all praise to You is due Each trial that I go through conforms me to the likeness of Your Son If Your word I heed, then each battle will be won My faith will turn to sight when I receive heaven’s reward The quality revealed when Your fire is outpoured Debbie Furey January 18, 2020 1 Corinthians 3:13-14 – “…. their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.” Romans 8:29 – “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” Psalm 66 Romans 8:28-39 1 Corinthians 3:10-15
New Beginnings
My mercies are new every morning, so you can start right now The new beginnings you’re searching for-I can show you how I built those longings inside of you, to be able to foresee Do not look at things as they are, but how you want them to be You were made in My image to be creative and put things in order Learn to hold onto things loosely so you will not be a hoarder You are only a steward, the short time you have down here You can’t take anything with you, keep only the things most dear I am always close by you, don’t forget to ask for My advice Things will only be perfect when you are with Me in Paradise Am I not a God who restores things, to how I want them to be? This same power is inside of you, go and live victoriously Debbie Furey January 4, 2020 Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV) – “It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Psalm 39:1-7 1 Peter 4:1-11
Journey Through
It only matters how you finish in our time on earth Did you seek the divine way that leads to your rebirth? There is a path that leads the way to eternal life Along the road are many detours that come with dangers rife This life is not a destination, but a journey through A testing of our hearts and motives to see what will prove true Only in this short time here can we know the full effects of sin And how to battle for the Lord and over great odds win Here we prove our faith and love to the Father’s delight When we obey and walk in trust and not by worldly sight The Father waits to hear our prayers all the journey through Till we reach far Jordan’s shore where God waits for you Debbie Furey September 21, 2021 James 1:12 – “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” Ezekiel 18:19-32, 33:12-20 Hebrews 3:6–19 This life is a journey that will matter throughout eternity. There are things we will learn here that we cannot learn through heaven’s bliss. Do not waste your trials. They will cause us to see a side of God that we will not be able to see in heaven. We will not need forgiveness in heaven. Only in a sinful world could we learn to forgive and ask to be forgiven. We do not need faith, hope or trust in heaven as all of our desires and needs will be provided for. The greatest thing we will learn down here is how to love. God wants to teach us how to love like He loves. How to love the unlovely and the difficult ones can only be learned out of heaven’s perfection. The path we walk on is difficult as we journey through our allotted time on the earth, but the rewards are great. It matters not how you begin your journey on this earth, but how you end.
