Your sufferings qualify you to be used of God–
For His purposes and His glory on this earth’s sod
By faith we are looking for a heavenly city
Be courageous, advance, don’t sink into self-pity
There is a hall of heroes in heaven up above
Of those who persevered in faith, hope, and love
Through many trials and deeds, they did overcome
Surrendered to God so they could, like Him, become
The world is not worthy of those who lived like this
Against all hope they believed what God promised
Set your hearts to follow truth so you won’t succumb
Untold heavenly rewards wait for those who overcome

Hebrews 11:32-40 – “And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.”
1 John 3:2 – “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”
Hebrews 11, 12
1 John 3

Jezebel Spirit
The spirit of Jezebel has no hold over me
I choose to walk in holiness and in purity
All who follow her ways and end up in her sinful bed
Will find out they have chosen the pathway of the dead
Many are the victims Jezebel has since brought down
Her slain are a mighty throng, many men of great renown
Does not wisdom call out on the heights along the way?
“Come, gain understanding for I have much to say”
Choose wisdom’s instructions instead of silver and gold
The fear of the Lord is the path to wisdom's stronghold
Take her hand and let her guide you along wisdom’s way
Her words of truth lead to life and never-ending day

God’s Only Son
No earthly treasure can compare God’s only Son He did not spare He paid our price with His own blood To counter our accuser’s flood No dollar amount could pay the price Only innocent blood would suffice To pay the debt of Adam’s sin God’s Son was sent to die and win Since we know God loves us so Our obedience we owe That is how we show our love To the One who reigns above Debbie Furey November 18, 2022 Romans 8:31-32 – “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 15:9-10 – “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.” Romans 8:28-39 John 3:16-21, 15:9-17
Ignite the Oil
Lord, reach into the deepest part of me Pull out anything that is offensive to Thee Search the deepest caverns of my soul Pour in Your oil and make me whole The human heart is so wicked, who can tell? It has been that way since Adam fell We see others failings, but ignore our own Then end up reaping the seeds we have sown Ignite the oil You have poured into me In the midst of the darkness, I will shine brightly Thick darkness will flee as Your glory falls down As I live faithfully to declare Your renown Debbie Furey November 10, 2022 Isaiah 60:1-3 – “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. 3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 – “Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22 reject every kind of evil.” Isaiah 60, 61 Matthew 25:1-13 Luke 12:35-48 1 John 1
Heart Strings
Through the strains and trials of life, a melody appears You might not see it coming, it comes not through the ears Feel your heart awakening to its soulful tune Listen to the words laying on your heart’s strings strewn Let the music in your heart escape to God above Share with one another its tune of heavenly love Sometimes the notes are high, uplifting, reaching to the sky Sometimes they are low, like in a valley, where you go to die You make this music in your heart and to its tune you dance Try always giving thanks to God in every circumstance The melody you play on the heart strings of your soul Can translate into a song that is very beautiful Debbie Furey November 7, 2022 Ephesians 5:18-20 – “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Psalm 27:6 – “Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.” Psalm 34
King of My Heart
Me: Lord, what is the message You have for me today? What part of my heart do You not have full sway? I submit myself to Your holy, searching gaze Reveal any thoughts that goes against Your ways I willingly enthrone You as King of my heart From the laws of Your land, I will not depart To be a part of Your kingdom is my desire I know that holiness must be my attire Lord: Desire Me and My kingdom above everything Then you will not have need of any other thing Wherever your treasure is, there your heart will be Will you choose the things of this world or will you choose Me? For our Lord God Almighty reigns. 7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. 8 Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)” Acts 13:22 – “After removing Saul, he made David their king. Fill Me to Overflowing
Lord: “Have you learned to love yet?”, I heard the Lord ask “Have you hidden your feelings behind a pretend mask? I give My love freely to the sons of men If you feel a lack, just ask, I will gladly send” “It is in receiving love you will have enough to share By your loving actions, they will know you care Write the love I give you on the tablet of your heart So, you will remember it is there to give, impart” Me: Fill me to overflowing so I have enough to give Only by Your love will I truly learn to live Thank You for this love that You have lavished upon me I’ll take Your love and share it with others accordingly Debbie Furey November 23, 2022 Proverbs 3:3-4 – “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.” Psalm 85:7 – “Show us your unfailing love, LORD, and grant us your salvation.” Song of Songs 8:7 – “Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away.
