Take Courage

You will be shielded on the day of My wrath
For the wicked and proud it will be a bloodbath
I had offered My mercy but they would not hear
They have attacked My people without any fear

You must live without fear and believe in My Name
Washed in My blood let love be your aim
Testify of Me and all I have done
Take courage and know that the battle is won

By faith, see the victory and declare it out loud
It destroys the works of the wicked and proud
All creation waits for My sons to be revealed
As you go forth to reap My harvest field

Proclaim Victory

Their schemes will fail, their strategies will fall
Their nefarious plans will on them befall
May God arise, may His enemies be scattered
Their hidden plans will be uncovered and shattered

The victory is ours as in faith, I believe
What the saints declare is what they will receive
The fruit of our lips is the food we will eat
Will your tongue proclaim victory or pronounce defeat?

Faith is the victory that overcomes
God’s commands are not burdensome
Proclaim victory and watch it unfold
The power of God is mighty to behold

In the Beginning

In the beginning when hope was born
When God created the first night and morn
An eternal plan was set in place
To cleanse men’s sins with His mercy and His grace

In the beginning, a Lamb was to be slain
To cover sins and forgiveness obtain
A prophetic act was set in place
Until Jesus’ blood was shed to replace

In the beginning the Word was with God
Creating a plan that kept angels awed
Men had free will to choose to obey
Trust and love God or go their own way

In the beginning, when hope was born
To counter the curse of toil and thorn
An eternal plan was lovingly unfurled
By the Lamb slain from the creation of the world

Revelation 13:8 – “All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.”

Matthew 25:31-34 – “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”

Children of the Day

Me:
Sanctified and holy, God calls us to be
Yielding to our sin leads to captivity
It pleases God when we choose to obey
We are not in darkness but we are children of the day

Lord:
I dispense My mercy, on whom I see fit to give
It is not by man’s desire I choose to forgive
I have given grace to those I want to pardon
It’s My choice alone to decide which hearts to harden

The Potter has the right to form His lump of clay
The vessel has no rights, the clay pot has no say
Everything I make will show forth My glory
My might and My power will be shown in every story

I deposit light in some vessels that I make
Supplying the oil for all who will partake
Will you let your light shine to display My glory?
When walking through the darkness of earth’s territory

1 Thessalonians 4:3-6 – “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before.”

Romans 9:14-18 – “What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses,
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. 17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-5 – “But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.”

Open Their Cell Door

Me:
My heart cries for the prisoner who sits in cold, dark cell
Found in chains of sin and death, whose destiny is hell
They have not heard the good news–Christ came to die for all
His blood was shed for anyone who on the Lord’s name call

Lord:
Will you go and tell them so they can be set free?
Their sins can be erased, so can their destiny
I can send an earthquake to open their cell door
What the enemy has destroyed, I am able to restore

Taste and see that I am good, My love endures forever
Come and learn of My ways, make that your main endeavor
I will walk before you along the narrow path
Show this way to others to save them from sin’s wrath

Each Vessel I Make

I get blamed for ruining a man’s life
When it is by his actions, he rules with strife
A fool finds no pleasure in understanding
Only his opinions have any standing

Nobody is worthless though they bring misery
They are an example of how not to be
I am the Potter and you are the clay
Each vessel I make is a wondrous display

Many are the plans a man’s heart details
But it is My purpose that finally prevails
You must depend on My mercy and grace
Those who love and obey Me will see My face

Revelation 22:1-4 – “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.”

Hope Comes into View

Me:
Waiting, waiting, waiting is like watching paint dry
It’s taking much too long causing me to sigh
I am perfecting patience-will it never end?
Believing in my heart, by faith I must contend

Lord:
It would not be faith if you could see the answer now
Reach out and grab the promise that you know is there somehow
Then believe it’s forming, even though you cannot see
Hope is there to help you wait with expectancy

Thank Me for the answer before you see it with your eye
Declare My Word out loud and watch it multiply
Faith is made complete by the actions that you do
Perseverance is complete when your hope comes into view

James 2:22 – “You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.”

Romans 8:24-25 – “For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”

Romans 15:4 – “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”

Look to Understand

Let go of vain traditions taught by earthly men
Study all My ways and for the truth contend
You worship Me in vain when your heart is far from Me
If you follow My voice, you’ll enter your destiny

Searching for the sins of others has become your snare
If you examined your own heart, you’d find sin lurking there
What you feed your mind with is what will then come out
The seeds you are planting is the harvest that will sprout

Leave your evil ways and search for what is good
Look to understand instead of being understood
Delight yourself in Me and of My ways inquire
The desires of your heart you will then acquire

Love Each Other Well

Me:
Your love is everlasting, Your faithfulness so sure
In times of deepest darkness, You help me to endure
When my world is shaking, on You I depend
According to Your Word, You call me Your close friend

Lord:
You did not choose Me, but I have chosen you
When you abide in Me greater works you’ll do
Come to Us in faith and ask the Father in My Name
There is power in My Word when you believe and then proclaim

You prove your love to Me by keeping My commands
When you truly love you fulfill the law’s demands
This is My command-to love each other well
Greater love has no one than to save a soul from hell

John 15:12-17 – “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.”

John 14:12-14 – “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

The Hill of the Lord

Who may ascend the hill of the Lord?
Those with clean hands and obey His Word
A pure heart is required to reside there
We’ll follow Him with hind’s feet in the cool mountain air

I hear the voice of my beloved leading His sheep
On the mountain of spices where the pathway is steep
He bids us to rise up and follow His lead
Down to the valley where the other flocks feed

Descending to the lower places, with joy we go
Drinking from the brook where the living waters flow
Such is the generation of those who seek God’s face
They’ll abide in His Presence and stand in His holy place
