Eternity’s Pen

There is a time for everything that is done under the sun
In every life there are battles lost, but also victories won
One day God will bring to judgment all the deeds of men
Each one has their own book written with the ink of eternity’s pen

How did you use your time allotted for your Master’s glory?
Did you discover and fulfill your heavenly purpose’s story?
They were written in His book before one of them came to be
Our free will can control the outcome of our destiny

Whatever is, has already been, there is nothing new
Studying the past, we get a glimpse of the future view
Eden was lost, but then gained back at the story’s end
We will walk with God once again restored as our best friend

Ecclesiastes 3:17 – “I said to myself, ‘God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.”’

Psalm 139:16 – “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Wisdom Calls Out

In a different dimension, wisdom does reside
Far from the proud and ignorant, she chooses there to hide
But, for those who call on her in humility and fear
She’ll answer when they call and suddenly appear

Wisdom calls out on the heights along the way
“You who are simple, listen, for I have something to say
Blessed is the man who longs for what is true
Nothing you desire can compare to wisdom’s view”

“Knowledge, prudence, and sound judgment are mine
Understanding I give when our spirits align
Riches and honor, I bestow upon those
Who walk in wisdom and with mercy overflows”

“Your love for God produces a powerful story
Wisdom displayed, releasing God’s power and glory
Blessed is the man watching daily at my doors
Whoever finds me finds life and favor forevermore”

Proverbs 9:10 – “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

James 3:17 – “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.”

Proverbs 8
Job 28:12-28

James 3:13-17 talks about two kinds of wisdom. He describes an earthly wisdom in which pride, envy and selfish ambition motivate your heart. He says this wisdom does not come from heaven, but is earthly, unspiritual and from the devil.
The wisdom that comes from heaven has good fruit. It is pure, peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, impartial and sincere.
Both of these wisdoms have a voice. The one we follow shows what’s in our heart. Which one do you hear calling out to you? Which one do you want to answer to?

Just As

We should love each other well, just as Christ loves us
He has died so all can live a life most virtuous
All who have this hope in Christ can be now secure
As we strive to purify ourselves, just as He is pure

Just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s lie
We can be led astray from Christ, when our sin we justify
Just as we now appear as man, prone to sin on earth
We’ll bear the image of the heavenly man, bought by the new birth

Just as we must live by faith, let us die to sin
Through the death of Christ our Lord, we have been born again
Let us walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us
Our life a sacrifice to God, bearing His image glorious

1 John 3:3 – “All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.”

2 Corinthians 11:3 – “But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.”

2 Corinthians 11:1-4
1 Corinthians 15:45-49
Ephesians 5:1-11

Did you ever see a little child try to imitate his father? He tries to do exactly just as he sees his father doing. This is so precious to the Father. Jesus tells us to become like little children to enter heaven. And He asks us to live just as He lived, a life of love. When we do this, we will bear the image of our Father in heaven just as Jesus bore the image of His Father when He walked on earth.

Be Fruitful

My Father is looking for fruit on His vine
Ones He can crush to make His fine wine
He selects only the best for His own pleasure
Hand picking those He considers a treasure

His vineyard is kept and pruned with much care
Vines bearing fruit delicious beyond compare
The branches cut off will be sent to the fire
The full yield of the harvest is His desire

Be fruitful and multiply over the whole earth
A new day is dawning and now giving birth
Knowledge of the Lord will cover the earth like a flood
A great harvest of souls reaped, bought by the Savior’s blood

Colossians 1:24 – “Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.”

1 Peter 4:1 – “Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.”

Luke 13:6-9 – “Then he told this parable: A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. 7 So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’
8 ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.”’

Galatians 5:22-25 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”

Iron Scepter

My heart can’t contain the praise that I bring
To Almighty God my worship I’ll sing
For You, oh Lord, are exalted forever
From Your love we can never be severed

I sing for joy at the works of Your hand
It is only by Your power in victory I stand
Great are Your works to the children of men
Describing wonders restricted by paper and pen

My eyes have seen the defeat of my foes
Your enemies will perish with untold woes
You scatter all evildoers with a scorching wind
You will expose the plans of those who have sinned

They try to destroy the foundations You laid
Rain down Your justice and make them afraid
The kings of the earth take their stand against You
Conspiring and plotting an evil coup

You are on Your throne and laugh at their plan
Your anger is kindled by unrepentant man
Blessed are those who take refuge in You
With an iron scepter the king’s plots You’ll subdue

Temple on the Hill

In the last days the Lord’s temple will be raised
On the mountain of the Lord, God’s glory will be praised
All the nations of the earth will visit this great site
As they join together to visit with delight

The temple on the hill will be established by a war
Those who fight against it will be met with a lion’s roar
He is coming back to claim the territory He had left
Under His descending feet the great mountain will be cleft

Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord
He will teach us His ways so we can walk in one accord
His Word will be established, His purpose He’ll fulfill
We’ll look up one day soon and see His temple on the hill

Isaiah 2:1-3 – “This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
2 In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. 3 Many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.’ The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”

Isaiah 56:7 – “…. these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

Going Deeper

“Would you like to go deeper?”, I heard the Lord say
Yes, was my eager reply spoken without delay
“My Word has many levels and dimensions yet unknown
It will take eternity to understand what you are shown”

“You need to be still then draw close so you can hear
My Word dwells richly in your soul, I am very near
Listen with your heart, not only with your mind
See from My perspective, not the earthly but divine”

“Things will look different at the depth I’m taking you
Others won’t understand and your thoughts they’ll misconstrue
It serves to keep you humble, for I keep far from the proud
What might be ok for others, you are not allowed”

“This is what it takes to run the race to win
It will take your all, do you have the discipline?
Going deeper in My Word brings you closer to My heart
It is in those depths that My wisdom I’ll impart”

Proverbs 2:1-6 (NKJV) – “My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, 2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; 3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, 4 If you seek her as silver,
and search for her as for hidden treasures; 5 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding;”

Proverbs 2 & 3

Righteousness and Justice

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne
All the money of the world could not for sin atone
Holy, holy, holy is the cry ringing out
Praise fills the atmosphere of love round about

All the colors of the rainbow surround Your throne of light
Your promises are true and all Your ways and laws are right
Your voice is like a thunder clap sent to earthly realms
Driving out Your enemies as their forces are overwhelmed

You send righteousness and justice into the hearts of men
When they forsake their sin and return to You again
You are coming for a holy bride that’s clothed in pure white
To those whose lamps are glowing, driving out the night

Puzzle Pieces

A small piece of a puzzle is what I give to you
It must be placed with others to form a picture true
If you try to fit it in where it shouldn’t go
The image is distorted and stops the knowledge flow

Prophecies in My Word are like puzzle pieces on a table
I’ve given you a guide to follow on the box’s label
Study where the others have placed their puzzle piece
You’ll know they’re in the right place by your vision’s peace

The picture that is forming helps others to understand
It’s all been masterminded by a Master hand
The picture that is forming is a treasure map
Leading to a place that you’ve helped to unwrap

Amos 3:7 – “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.”

Blood and Water

A sudden flow of blood and water poured from Jesus’ side
When the soldier pierced Him after He had died
Flowing out together they became a vital clue
It takes repentance and His blood to be born anew

John baptized in the desert with water for repentance
Many came to be released from sin’s deadly sentence
Not only merely sorry, they desired something more
Searching for the truth so their hearts could be made pure

John prepared the way so their opened eyes could see
Some who would refuse were the priests and Pharisees
When Jesus proclaimed truth, many did receive
The water for repentance opened a pathway to believe

Jesus paid the price of sin by the shedding of His blood
Those with repentant hearts are cleansed by its red flood
His blood and water testify of the cure for sin
It takes repentance and His blood for new life to begin

Luke 7:29-30 – “All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus’ words, acknowledged that God’s way was right, because they had been baptized by John. 30 But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.”

John 3:16-21 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”
