Qualified Am I

Lord, if You choose the least of these, qualified am I
As long as I have Your strength, then I can comply
Gideon was obedient, because You were his source
Winning a great battle over a much superior force

When I am obedient and to my will I die
That is when You let me know-qualified am I
As Your Spirit leads me, victory is in store
Because You live in me, new life will I explore

When my life is over and I leave this earth
Everything I went through, will translate to great worth
Because You died for me, my sin to justify
I’ll get to live with You, as sanctified am I

Judges 6:15 – “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”

1 Corinthians 1:27–30 – “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”

Judges 6 & 7

I am so glad that it is not my good works that get me to heaven. If that were the case, I would fall short. It is only because Jesus died for me to take away my sins and pay the price for them that I am qualified to live with Him eternally. So is everyone else who believes this. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever would believe in Him will not die but have eternal life.

Stay Close by Me

“Lord, why are you crying?”, I said in dismay
“I know what’s coming and whose hearts will go astray
They will violate My covenant and be seduced
With the pleasures of the world, they’ll be slowly induced”

“For one to depart from, they first had to be joined
Those who stay close by Me cannot be purloined
Satan comes to pick off the half-hearted and weak
Ones who love the world and it’s pleasures they seek”

“My people who know Me shall prove themselves strong
By the words of their mouth, you’ll know whose side they belong
Stand firm and hold on then to the teachings you know
To those who overcome, My hidden manna I’ll bestow”

Daniel 11:32 (AMP) – “With smooth words [of flattery and praise] he will turn to godlessness those who [are willing to] disregard the [Mosaic] covenant, but the people who [are spiritually mature and] know their God will display strength and take action [to resist].”

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 (AMP) – “Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed], 4 who opposes and exalts himself [so proudly and so insolently] above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he [actually enters and] takes his seat in the temple of God, publicly proclaiming that he himself is God.”

2 Thessalonians 2
Revelation 2:12-17

In 2 Thessalonians 2, it talks about a falling away that’s coming in the future. The words, falling away, are a translation of the Greek word, “apostasia” or apostasy. Some call it the rebellion. For one to fall away from something they first had to have been joined together. In Daniel 11:31-32, he talks about a person setting up an abomination that causes desolation at the time of the end. This person will corrupt, pervert, seduce with flattery those who violated the covenant. Only God’s people have a covenant with Him. The unsaved do not. To violate God‘s covenant means to sin against God and His Word. These people will turn or fall away from the faith. But the people who know their God (intimately) will firmly resist this godless person. That is the secret to being able to keep from falling away from God. To stay close to and know God will keep us from falling away from Him.
As I was studying these verses this morning, I asked the Lord what was on His heart. As I waited before Him, in my mind I saw many tears falling. I couldn’t see where they were coming from but I sensed they were from the Lord. I then asked the Lord, why are you crying?

Obedience

Me:
Lord, I want to clearly hear what You have to say
So many times, I thought I heard, as I stopped to pray
Sometimes, it turned out, I didn’t listen well
It did not turn out like I thought I heard You tell

Confirm Your word to me as I listen for Your voice
It concerns eternity when I make the choice
In matters great or small You are hoping I’ll obey
The path of life is narrow as I walk along the way

Lord:
You are wise to wait until you hear Me clear
If you disobey the consequences can be severe
It is through obedience you prove your love for Me
It is through obedience you gain authority

1 Samuel 15:22–23 – But Samuel replied: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”
John 15:6-7 – “ If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

1 Samuel 15
John 15

So many times, I thought I heard God’s voice but then it turned out I was wrong. There are other voices in our head that we can sometimes hear. Voices of our flesh call out the loudest. We want what we want and that is what we want to hear. Forces of darkness also speak to us, tempting us, lying to us and sometimes deceiving us. It is never wrong to stop and ask the Lord for confirmation of what we think we are hearing Him say. We need to be sure we are hearing God’s voice so we can obey Him.

Enter the Secret Place

I invite you to enter the “secret place”
Draw close to Me so we can meet face-to-face
In the stillness of the morn, you will learn of Me
Would you like to get a glimpse of eternity?

There are many things I want to say to you
But you can’t listen when you’re talking to
Give Me permission to reveal hidden dark places
There you’ll discover the wealth of My graces

In your marginalized walk and compromised soul
You think you are able to be in full control
Who is guiding your every thought and action?
Walk in My Spirit without any distraction

I want to tell you about things to come
Revealing My secrets in My kingdom
Fast and pray for My glory to fall
It will shatter the darkness that has blinded all

Psalm 27:8 – “My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

Matthew 6:6 – “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Exodus 33:7–11
John 16:12-15

You have an invitation to enter secret place where the Presence of God dwells. It is not hard to find. It is wherever you find the time to speak with the Lord one-on-one. Will you take the time to respond? He is waiting to hear from you and to speak into your heart.

Faith

Faith paves the way for My mighty hand to move
Calling into being what you do not see or can prove
It becomes the substance of those things that you hope for
Faith provides the courage to walk through My open door

Into the realm of earth, lay hold of the unseen
Changing what you hoped for into that which you have seen
Then you need to prove My Word by acting like it’s there
Those who choose to live this way I’m finding very rare

This kind of faith comes from your heart and not just from your mind
Belief and acting on My Word become then intertwined
Faith becomes an action proving My Word’s true
Rejoice as you believe and see those things come into view

Hebrews 11:1–2 (KJV) – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.”

Hebrews 11

The best definition of faith is, if you believe God’s Word then you will act on it. If you only hope, that is always in the future. Faith is in the present tense because faith is now. “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see”, (Hebrew 11:1 (NIV).
I have this saying written in my Bible, but I am not sure who originally said it: faith is acting like it is so, even when it is not so, so that it might be so, simply because God said so.

Voices in my Mind

The voices in my mind I hear, I must now discern
Are they from my enemy? I must stop and learn
If I know God’s Word it is easier to tell
Are they my own thoughts or deceiving ones from hell?

God’s sheep will learn to hear His voice as His Word they read
It will grow within them starting as from a small seed
If you cultivate His Word, it will surely grow
When you hear His thoughts within, you will surely know

God is always speaking do you have the heart to hear?
Other voices in my mind shout louder in my ear
Sometimes from the enemy, sometimes my selfish ways
If we follow God’s voice, we’ll be blessed for all our days

Matthew 13:23 – “But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

Matthew 13:18-23
John 10:1–16

Many thoughts come into our conscience every day. Sometimes they are from our hearts or mind. Sometimes they are from the enemy of our soul bringing temptation or sin. They can also come from the Spirit of God directing us and speaking to us. We need to learn how to discern these thoughts and where they come from. When we get to know God’s Word it will be easier to tell the source.

God’s Glory Descends

Fire of God descend to light my oil-filled lamp
As legions of angels around me encamp
I am commissioned to make disciples of those
Who know not God, and are currently His foes

Mighty angels stand ready to be released
As God’s Word goes forth with power increased
Many signs will accompany those who believe
This promise is to all who in faith will receive

God’s army is getting ready to move in this hour
To enforce God’s will by His glory and great power
Darkness will flee as His Word appears on the scene
God’s glory descending to change and intervene

Psalm 34:7 – “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.”
Isaiah 60: 1–3 – “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. 3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

Mark 16:14-20
Matthew 25:1–10

In the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25, all ten of them held lamps. The lamp is the Word of God. Only the wise virgins had oil in their lamps. Oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. The foolish ones had let their lamps go out. They were not being led by the Holy Spirit. For fire to continue it needs a source of oil. Do you want the fire of God in your life? Follow the Holy Spirit and be led by Him.

Expose the Wicked Ones

Cover me with Your glory as with a shield
As I humble myself and to Your ways yield
I’ve put on my armor and wait for Your lead
Confound enemy plans so they don’t succeed

Lord, contend with those who contend with me
Expose the wicked ones who are my enemy
May those who seek my life be put to shame
Let You be exalted for the glory of Your Name

Who is like You, Oh Lord, that rescues the poor?
When the evil days come, You help me endure
Send Your mighty angels to drive the wicked away
May they fall into the pit they dug for me, I pray

Psalm 35:1-3 – “Contend, LORD, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me. 2 Take up shield and armor; arise and come to my aid. 3 Brandish spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Say to me, “I am your salvation.”

Psalm 35

As I was praying for our nation this morning, I read Psalm 35 out loud in faith, standing on God’s Word for His protection for us. Join with me in agreement with this prayer for our nation.

Children of the Light

In a time of testing, you show what’s in your heart
Will you choose My ways, or from them fast depart?
Open up your eyes to see your sin, deep within
So you can repent and a new pathway begin

You are children of the light and children of the day
Shun the darkness of the world so you don’t go astray
When you choose the way of darkness, you put out the light
Those who want to live this way are children of the night

My dearly beloved children, live a life of love
Then you’ll be like Your Father who dwells in light above
As you behold My glory, your face will start to shine
Giving you the grace to walk in My power divine

John 12:35-36 – “Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. 36 Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.” When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.”

1 Thessalonians 5:5–6 – “You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.”

1 Thessalonians 5
Ephesians 5
1 John 1:5–10

It is not dark because it’s nighttime. It is nighttime because it is dark. When the earth turns away from the sun, it dwells in its own shadow creating darkness. So it is also when we turn away from God who is light, we choose to dwell in darkness. There is a choice to be made. Do you want to be children of the light or children of the night?

Days of the Harvest

These are the days of the harvest, they are days of war
The crop is ripe and ready to be brought to Heaven’s door
Storm clouds are gathering, threatening to destroy
Their plans are all in place and ready to deploy

The Lord of the harvest watches from above
Ruling over all things with justice and great love
In answer to saints praying, He holds back the gathering storm
Releasing angel armies to battle and transform

The workers are released to fields of waving grain
Alongside angel armies to fight for their domain
God’s kingdom is advancing, over all the earth
Proving God’s great love for all and that they have great worth

John 4:34–35 – “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. 35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.”

Nehemiah 4:16-18 – “From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah 17 who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, 18 and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. But the man who sounded the trumpet stayed with me.”

Matthew 11:12 – “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.”

John 4:34–38
Nehemiah 4
