Wind of the Spirit

Wind of the Spirit blow throughout the whole earth
Proclaim God’s glory-our King of great worth
Speak through Your servants and set us on fire
Fill us with love so God’s ways we’ll desire

The wide path of life leads to destruction and hell
Sin lines the way with its enticing spell
Evil thoughts and surmising’s have taken their tolls
Chains and torments have taken captive many souls

God sent His Son to set these captives free
Paying sin’s price and offering liberty
Redemption and freedom are offered to all
Salvation is given, who on the Lord’s name, will call

Repent and turn so your sins may be wiped out
Times of refreshing will come in the world throughout
With the Spirit’s wind comes God’s violent love
Nothing can stop that which comes from God above

Acts 2:1-4 – “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

Acts 3:19-20 – “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus.”

John 3:5-8 – “Jesus answered, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.’”

My Sought After Bride

I am able to keep you from falling
I hear your prayers at night to Me calling
My heart melts when you gaze upon Me
Eyes filled with love and fidelity

I’m coming for a bride that is spotless and pure
For one who claims Me as their greatest treasure
Come away with Me to our secret place
There to commune with sweet words face-to-face

I will share with you-things too wonderful to know
Knowledge that was hidden from long ago
I’m teaching you this so you can reign by My side
You are so lovely, My sought-after bride

You Can’t Comprehend

Me:
Deep in my heart I know what needs to be done
Turn off distractions and spend time with the Son
The Father is waiting for me with open arms
Sending His Holy Spirit to expose evil’s charms

Lord:
Come aside and spend time in our secret place
Trade holy thoughts for the carnal, commonplace
Esteem My Words higher than the world’s voice
Time is running out, so make the right choice

Set your hand to the plow and do not look back
Enter into My Presence where there is no lack
The harvest is ready, whom can I send?
What I am planning you cannot comprehend

My way is not your way, so you must draw close to hear
The Words I am speaking come not through your ear
Give up those things of the world you hold dear
My glory will descend and make My way clear

Matthew 6:5-6 – “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

You’ll See Me Through

There is so much, oh Lord, I don’t understand
That’s ok if I know it comes from Your hand
Through these dark times I choose to put my trust in You
If I follow Your voice, I know You’ll see me through

I will go anywhere if You lead the way
You are looking for faith when I trust and obey
The way may be very hard causing me much pain
What can I really lose when I have heaven to gain?

I choose not to fear what I see with my eyes
Manifold blessings are waiting in disguise
Others may judge me and my actions misconstrue
I know from experience You will see me through

Journey of Faith and Hope

God’s Word takes you on a journey of faith and hope
Reaching down to your soul with a microscope
Examining thoughts and intents with searching lights
Illuminating truths with many different insights

God’s Word was written in dimensions different than ours
A timeless place that knows not days, minutes, or hours
It reveals a foreign world that you cannot see or feel
A place of angels and demons clashing with much zeal

God’s Word is alive and directs the souls of men
The path of life is narrow that leads to gates of heaven
Obedience and love are the map that gets us there
Our journey of faith needs hope to keep us from despair

God’s Word brought forth the earth in the beginning of time
The angels shouted with joy at God’s plan so sublime
As the morning stars sang, the cornerstone was laid
Everything was good that the Lord Almighty made

Fix Your Eyes on Me

When sins passions tempt you beyond what you can bear
Know that I am watching, know that I care
You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood
When evil comes to tempt you in an overwhelming flood

Know that I am near you, fix your eyes on Me
Sin is trying to keep you from your destiny
Consider Him who endured the cross and its shame
To return earth’s dominion to man’s rightful claim

If you only knew what your obedience would win
You’d give up anything especially your sin
Lay the things of this world down and pick up the cross
On the day of rewards, you will not suffer loss

Hebrews 12:4-6 – “In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
Hebrews 12:14 – “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 3:12-15 – “If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.”

Hebrews 12
Psalm 15, 24

Untold Heavenly Rewards

Your sufferings qualify you to be used of God–
For His purposes and His glory on this earth’s sod
By faith we are looking for a heavenly city
Be courageous, advance, don’t sink into self-pity

There is a hall of heroes in heaven up above
Of those who persevered in faith, hope, and love
Through many trials and deeds, they did overcome
Surrendered to God so they could, like Him, become

The world is not worthy of those who lived like this
Against all hope they believed what God promised
Set your hearts to follow truth so you won’t succumb
Untold heavenly rewards wait for those who overcome

Hebrews 11:32-40 – “And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.”

1 John 3:2 – “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”

Jezebel Spirit

The spirit of Jezebel has no hold over me
I choose to walk in holiness and in purity
All who follow her ways and end up in her sinful bed
Will find out they have chosen the pathway of the dead

Many are the victims Jezebel has since brought down
Her slain are a mighty throng, many men of great renown
Does not wisdom call out on the heights along the way?
“Come, gain understanding for I have much to say”

Choose wisdom’s instructions instead of silver and gold
The fear of the Lord is the path to her stronghold
Take her hand and let her guide you along wisdom’s way
Her words of truth lead to life and never-ending day

God’s Only Son

No earthly treasure can compare
God’s only Son He did not spare
He paid our price with His own blood
To counter our accuser’s flood

No dollar amount could pay the price
Only innocent blood would suffice
To pay the debt of Adam’s sin
God’s Son was sent to die and win

Since we know God loves us so
Our obedience we owe
That is how we show our love
To the One who reigns above

Romans 8:31-32 – “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”

Ignite the Oil

Lord, reach into the deepest part of me
Pull out anything that is offensive to Thee
Search the deepest caverns of my soul
Pour in Your oil and make me whole

The human heart is so wicked, who can tell?
It has been that way since Adam fell
We see others failings, but ignore our own
Then end up reaping the seeds we have sown

Ignite the oil You have poured into me
In the midst of the darkness, I will shine brightly
Thick darkness will flee as Your glory falls down
As I live faithfully to declare Your renown
