Holy Spirit Power

I see water from heaven flowing free, out-poured
It’s not rain but comes from the throne of my Lord
This water is alive and refreshes my thirsty soul
It comes without cost to heal and make one whole

There is enough for all it will never run out
Ask for the Holy Spirit to see what it’s about
He’ll baptize you with fire and power from above
Love, grace and mercy will descend like a dove

This gift comes to fit you to serve our great King
Great power and boldness you’ll see it will bring
Wait in God’s Presence for Holy Spirit power
Know with a surety you were born for this hour

John 4:10-14 – “Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Acts 8:14-17 – “When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. 15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.”

Citizen of Heaven

Why is the pull of this world so strong?
I am a citizen of heaven, that’s where I belong
To be known down here doesn’t carry much worth
Our time is fleeting on this place called earth

One thinks it so grand to have money and fame
Why does it matter that people know your name?
Our search for significance is never wrong
God put in us this desire to connect and belong

I want to be known up in heaven above
That I carried out my duties in faithfulness and love
The only thing of worth that I long to hear
Is the Lord say, “Well done,” as heaven draws near

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 – “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”

Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Ecclesiastes 2, 3, 5, 12

Look to Me in Faith

If you only knew of the power inside you
When you believe by faith and prove My Word is true
Step into the wondrous that your faith requires
You will be rewarded with your heart’s desires

Faith only works by believing the unseen
Then confess with your mouth before it’s even seen
Change your hope to faith as you pray and then believe
You must maintain you have it before you can receive

Faith operates in dimensions that you know not of
It activates with power when it’s mixed with love
Faith, hope, and love form a cord that’s hard to break
Those who look to Me in faith, I will not forsake

Hebrews 11:1-3 NKJV – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”

Hebrews 10:35-39 – “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For, ‘In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.’ 38 And, ‘But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.’ 39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.”

Romans 10:8-10 – “But what does it say? ‘The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,’ that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Hebrews 11
Romans 4:18-25

Quality is Shown

You cannot reap what you do not sow
In heaven above or on the earth below
How can God answer a prayer not said?
Or multiply money, not contributed?

In giving we receive many times again
You must plant a seed to reap a dividend
What you then reap looks nothing like the seed
A bountiful harvest where there once was just a need

In God’s economy love must be your aim
Do nothing out of greed, vainglory, or fame
The fruit you produce in your harvest tells a tale
It’s quality is shown by every small detail

Galatians 6:7-10 – “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Galatians 5:22-25 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.”

Galatians 5:13-26

Faith Without Works

Me:
Let the fear of the Lord never depart from me
The way I live determines my destiny
I have a share in Christ if I hold firm to the end
I must follow His ways and on Him depend

Lord:
Your hearing is sharpened by your will to obey
Some believe for a while, but when tested fall away
They cannot enter My rest because of unbelief
Their hearts went astray, the time they loved Me was brief

Some have left their first love and forsaken Me
Repent and return to My ways I plea
Faith without works lead to the place of the dead
Lose your life for Me to gain heaven instead

Psalm 85:8-9 – “I will listen to what God the LORD says; he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants— but let them not turn to folly. 9 Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that his glory may dwell in our land.”

2 Peter 2: 20-21 – “If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.”

Hebrews 3:14 – “We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.”

Revelation 2:4-5 – “Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.”

Vain Conceit

The highest form of treason is to steal the Lord’s glory
Do not desire the praise that belongs to God only
Let another praise you and not your own tongue
With your words you can be saved or you can be hung

Do not use God’s power to draw people to you
In humility of soul give the Lord His due
The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold
A man is tested by the praise he is told

Don’t let ambition control you or vain conceit
Consider others better or you’ll walk in deceit
Those who desire greatness must be the servant of all
Glorify the Lord and in your own eyes be small

Faith is the Key

Me:
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You
Your angels surround me in dimensions out of view
The Bible comes alive as in faith I call it out
I believe what You say and will choose not doubt

I won’t fear when terror tries to visit in the night
I know You are near with many angels out of sight
In Jesus’ name the enemy must flee
Your blood defeated them at the cross on Calvary

Lord:
Because you love Me, I will come and rescue you
I will answer those who believe My Word is true
Since you have chosen to put your trust in Me
I will deliver you from your enemy

Faith is the key you need to open any door
Call forth those things that are not, to be forevermore
Go to My Word to get hope in time of need
Stand on its promise to have it manifest indeed

Psalm 34:7 – “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.”

Psalm 91:9-12 – “If you say, ‘The LORD is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

Romans 4:16-17 – “Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17 As it is written: ‘I have made you a father of many nations.’ He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.”

My Thoughts I Will Impart

Me:
I want to hear Your voice, Lord, clearly in my mind
So I can know Your intents and with them be aligned
As I daily search Your Word, lead me in Your way
Teach my heart to be like Yours so I don’t go astray

Lord:
Come, draw close and listen, to My beating heart
As you wait and ponder, My thoughts I will impart
I have much to show you-too wonderful to know
If you spend some time with Me, revelations I’ll bestow

Prepare the soil of your heart to contain My seed
Daily water with My Word so your faith can feed
In due time, a harvest comes tended by My grace
You will be rewarded on the day you see My face

2 Corinthians 12:1-4 – “I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. 2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. 3 And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.”

Isaiah 45:3 – “I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.”

Luke 8:9-10 – “His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10 He said, ‘The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, “‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’”

Matthew 6:6 – “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Satan Always Loses

Know with a surety Satan always loses
So does his demons and anyone he uses
God prepared a place where this evil king will dwell
Unending pain and torment a place that we call hell

Many reside there now, deceived by this loser
They thought he’d share his power but found he is a user
Believing all his lies they now live in constant woe
All souls are eternal some are in heaven some below

From the mount of God, he was driven in disgrace
Never more to praise God or ever see His face
Wickedness covers Satan like a dirty shroud
All his splendor turned to ashes when he became proud

Who will you become like as you live upon the earth?
You were made to love God and have eternal worth
The One who has made us assigns our dwelling here
Which one will you follow? Who will you revere?

Isaiah 14:15-17 – “But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit. 16 Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: ‘Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble, 17 the man who made the world a wilderness, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?’”

Ezekiel 28:15-18 – “You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. 16 Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So, I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. 17 Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So, I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. 18 By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So, I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching.”

Keep Your Gaze Upon Me

Being self-focused brings pride or depression
It can lead to self-pity, hatred, fear, and deception
Magnifying one’s self only magnifies one’s faults
Or even worse, you feel above as pride exalts

Likewise, do not keep your gaze fixed on each other
Both good and bad you will find in your brother
Jealousy, competition, and worthlessness are born
Leading to hatred, resentment, pride, and scorn

Instead keep your gaze fixed intently upon Me
Examine Me closely to find grace and mercy
It will take eternity to perceive all My glory
Magnify Me to escape self-important vain-glory

Take control of your thoughts, make them subject to you
Keep your gaze upon Me and My Presence pursue
Feed your faith with My Word and it will surely grow
My promises and rewards I will freely bestow

Love you will then find and be able to share
Of your brother’s sins and faults you will not be aware
Love is always the most excellent way
It leads you from darkness to never-ending day
