Sacrifice For Me

Do not be deceived, you must listen for My voice
My eyes search your heart as you consider every choice
God’s ways are not your ways; it takes faith to see
The path of obedience leads to your destiny

It will take discipline, persistence and love
To stay on the course that I direct from above
The way may be hard and filled with much pain
In your dying comes life, in your loss comes great gain

Only in this life can you sacrifice for Me
Rewards earned down here will exceed all expectancy
Press on toward the goal, and go for the prize
The calling at stake is much more than you realize

Philippians 3:10-11 – “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.”

Hebrews 11:6 – “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Romans 8:11-39
Philippians 3:7-14
1 Corinthians 9:24-27

There are a lot of things in heaven we can do when we get there, but sacrificing for the Lord is not one of them. We will have everything we need and much more than we can ever hope for in eternity. Because of that we will not need hope, faith or trust anymore. These qualities are only for this life. Use the opportunities we have now to prove to the Lord our love for Him as we walk this earth.

Precious Promises

God’s promises are true, God’s promises are sure
In the evil day, they help us to endure
Speaking them in faith causes them to come alive
Hope that was deferred, God’s Spirit can revive

Hidden in the Word these precious promises are found
A map that when followed, leads to treasure so profound
Written in a dimension outside the space of time
Its message is for all who claim it’s promises sublime

Faith is the key that unlocks the Word of God
These promises were written by holy men, yet flawed
Inspired by God’s Spirit, its message always true
Our self-will and choices God omnisciently foreknew

These deep and precious promises are for anyone
Who will strive to live them until the victory is won?
Hope and faith will activate each prayer as it ascends
Patience is rewarded when the answer then descends

2 Peter 1:19-21 – “We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

Luke 18:7-8 – “And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

2 Peter 3

Victory Over Goliath

Me:
In the day of battle, it is good to be prepared
Courage is running to the front even when you’re very scared
Past encounters you have fought with the lion and the bear
Have prepared you for this hour so do not despair

Goliath was a giant clothed in armor’s might
David, just a boy, was despised in his sight
His key was a weapon made only out of sticks
He trusted in his God and not in politics

Though David was a youth, he walked in praise and prayer
The glory of his God he then started to declare
It was not by spear or sword that his Lord would save
It was a lowly stone that sent Goliath to his grave

This turned the battle’s tide and sent the enemy on the run
It was a mighty victory that started with just one
One who dared to stand in faith against an enemy defiant
Against all odds David defeated history’s great giant

Lord:
Another rock I’ll send to crush the kingdoms of the earth
A great revival breaking forth to tell of My great worth
Rise up in faith and fling this stone, mighty in My power
You were born for such a time, to win in this great hour

1 Samuel 17:50 – “So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.”

Daniel 2:31-35 – “Your Majesty looked, and there before you stood a large statue—an enormous, dazzling statue, awesome in appearance. 32 The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. 34 While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.”

1 Samuel 17
Daniel 2:27-49

Undone

Oh Lord, when the music started, I became undone
The glory of Your majesty caused me to be stunned
Your Presence filled the room with a heaviness and awe
From the busyness of the day I started to withdraw

Tears filled my eyes as Your fragrance filled the room
Enhancing all my senses like a sweet perfume
Worship started flowing with a stream of musical notes
Inviting me to a place that seemed quite remote

I didn’t want to leave when the song came to an end
I had entered a dimension that helped me to transcend
The earth had stopped it’s spinning as time stood still
The blessed day I visited You on Your holy hill

Psalm 24:3-4 – “Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.”

Psalm 108:1-5

Wild Ride

You are in for a wild ride, in the coming days
Many twists and turns are coming, to shock and then amaze
When will this ride stop, and where will it end up?
Know My Spirit’s rushing wind, will disquiet and then disrupt

The earth will shake, the seas will roar, displaying My great power
It will topple evil strongholds, exposing those who cower
Rulers and powers then displaced, who ruled for many ages
Silencing tongues against My people as it mocks and rages

Hold on tight to love and mercy–it’s protection firm, secure
Faith and patience now displaying, helping you endure
Misinformation, theories, lies, are spinning a tall tale
Hoping to entrap My people, to mislead, and then, derail

Come aside to our secret place, and I will meet you there
Truth, wisdom, grace and mercy, replace confusion and despair
The enemy will fall into the pit he had dug for you
Joy and gladness will erupt, when you see what I will do

Psalm 7:15-17 – “Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit they have made. 16 The trouble they cause recoils on them; their violence comes down on their own heads. 17 I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High.”

Psalm 7, 9, 140

Sound of the Shofars

I hear the sound of the shofars, blowing across our land
Announcing God’s response against what our enemy has planned
Angelic forces unleashed in an unseen battle above
To answer our prayers of repentance, humility, faith and love

God’s warriors on earth, are fighting on bended knee
Declaring out in faith what their eyes cannot see
Many are our spiritual weapons; God gives us to use
With God’s help on our side, we surely will not lose

A battle of biblical proportions is being waged in this hour
Give God the glory as He displays His mighty power
Answer the call of the shofar blowing across our land
Announcing a coming battle our enemy cannot withstand

Get ready for the storm, the ancient shofar declares
God’s fury descending in power to answer many prayers
Forces of nature conspiring in the wind, rain and snow
To battle for God’s people praying in the earth below

Ephesians 6:12-13 – “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

Power in Praise

You are worthy of all honor coming from the lips of men
To You belongs the praise that from our hearts ascend
It drifts up from the earth like a cloud of incense rising
Filling bowls in heaven with answers to prayers crystallizing

There is much power in praise because it gives our faith a voice
As our hope takes form, the result is to rejoice
We go beyond the circumstances with different eyes to see
From a heavenly perspective an emerging reality

An explosion of great power is the result of faith filled praise
It opens doors of prisons with answers that amaze
Our short time here on earth is a chance to prove our love
A time to learn to obey and trust the Spirit from above

Our praise we give to You containing hearts that are full
We lift hope with thanksgiving holding love indescribable
Your glory has broken through the night enabling us to see
Piercing through great darkness lighting the way to eternity

Psalm 146:5-8 – “Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob; whose hope is in the LORD their God. 6 He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—he remains faithful forever. 7 He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free, 8 the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous.”

Peace Has Returned

Me:
My peace has returned, once again my heart is still
So many questions, but what is Your perfect will?
When things do not turn out just like I thought they would
Sometimes I can’t believe all things work for my good

Lord:
“In the midst of a trial, My peace I give to you
Reach out to Me in faith to preempt the enemies’ coup
Keep your eyes on Me, with faith lift up your voice
To praise now is your choice, worship and rejoice”

“Do not fear the enemy, but the treachery of your soul
Deceitful is the heart, that wants to take control
It is not by power or might, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord
“Raise up the shield of faith and your mighty sword”

“I’m training you for battle to win back your land
Too long you’ve been asleep, rise up and take a stand
My army is moving forward, don’t be left behind
Those who follow My Spirit will be perfectly aligned”

Victory Unforeseen

“What do you see?”, I heard the Lord say
“A lot of snow falling, throughout the whole day”
“What do you think this means, coming from the winter sky?”
“I don’t know what to say,” Was my honest reply

Lord:
“A season of great testing comes to the winter of a soul
In the dark and drear of turmoil comes a sight, so beautiful
Purity and grace float down against the winters chill
Blanketing the cold, dark earth, My purpose to fulfill”

“Just when all seems dead and lost, My beauty will be seen
Drifting down on wings of peace, a victory unforeseen
Do not lose hope, though all seems dead, a great awakening comes
In the winter of our nation, arise those who overcome”

Job 37:11-13 – “He loads the clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through them. 12 At his direction they swirl around over the face of the whole earth to do whatever he commands them. 13 He brings the clouds to punish people, or to water his earth and show his love.”

Psalm 68:14 – “When the Almighty scattered the kings in the land, it was like snow fallen on Mount Zalmon.”

My Purposes Fulfilled

What is the worst thing that your enemy could do?
Your foes misconstrue what I try to do through you
They are not afraid to touch the sheep of My flock
Their time is running out as it strikes twelve on My clock

You cannot imagine what the enemy had planned
When I show grace to the wicked, they still don’t understand
My time of mercy ends when My hand is lifted high
Watch as it descends to consume and terrify

Take note when My judgments come upon your land
The people will learn righteousness and then understand
I’ll start with My people, and discipline them in love
If they repent and turn to Me, I’ll send My mercy from above

What is the worst thing that your enemy could do?
I use them for My purposes to show you what is true
All this works for your good-to those who love My Name
My purposes fulfilled in those whose hearts are aflame

Isaiah 26:9–11 – “ My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. 10 But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the LORD.
11 LORD, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.”

1 Peter 4:17 – “For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?”

Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Isaiah 26
