Oh, that I would hear when You whisper my name I want to hear You clearly to keep my lamp aflame I had been asleep but I am waking now Loud noises of this world had shut You out somehow When I get alone to seek out Your face Memories return of Your surpassing grace My heart is stirred to return once again To the former days when You were my best friend Nothing compares to having You by my side Learning Your ways as You with love guide Tune my ears to listen for Your still faint voice To abide in Your Presence is my glad choice Debbie Furey October 31, 2022 Isaiah 30:21 – “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Hebrews 12:25-26 – “See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, ‘Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”’ Matthew 25:1-13 1 Kings 19:1-18

In Faith
Lord, protect me from the plans of my enemy
Many seek my destruction and my destiny
I feel safe anytime I stay close by Your side
As I follow in Your ways and in You abide
I am not wise enough to escape their devious schemes
By following Your Spirit, I can realize my dreams
Everything I go through will work toward my good
When I walk by faith and then love as I should
The enemy comes to conquer, rob, kill, and destroy
Trying to take me captive and steal my hope and joy
I will speak Your Word out loud into the atmosphere
Believing Your Word in faith, Your direction will appear

Psalm 91:1-2 – “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”’
Psalm 91
Jealousy Robs You
Jealousy robs you of contentment and love Vexing your spirit to roil and shove Causing your eyes to see things differently Bringing in spirits that promote hostility Who can stand before this onslaught of hate? It causes friends and family to separate Waves of passion begin to roll upon the sand Bringing much destruction upon this fair land Walk in the Spirit and dress in Christ’s love Be wise as a serpent, but harmless as a dove Grow the fruit of the Spirit in patience and peace In the garden of your life there will be much increase Jealousy causes much want with your eyes Leading to moments of despair and compromise Stirrings of covetousness begin to arise Thankfulness goes far away and then dies Put on your armor to protect your heart Learn the ways of the Lord and do not depart Don’t let the enemy take any ground Your reward will be great and will astound Debbie Furey November 24, 2022 Proverbs 27:4 – “Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?” Proverbs 27:19-20 – “As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. 20 Death and Destruction are never satisfied, and neither are human eyes.” Matthew 10:16 – “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore, be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” Acts 13:44-52 Romans 13:8-14 Galatians 5:13-26
Run Toward the Roar
Holy Spirit blow upon the coals of my heart The flame has been dying, it needs a fresh start Pour Your holy oil into my empty lamp Rid me of the apathy surrounding my heart’s camp A trumpet blast is sounding, calling us to war Fill me with courage to run toward the roar The Lion of Judah is leading the way Legions of angels join the battle fray Awake Your drowsy army with a battle cry Our response determines who will live or who will die You have given us authority over all the earth This present life determines our eternal worth Treasures gained here will be forever known The harvest we reap is the one we have sown Battles fought here are for the souls of men Will you be ready when the Lord comes again? Debbie Furey November 26, 2022 Isaiah 6:8 – Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Matthew 25:1-5 – “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.” Matthew 25:1-13 Isaiah 6
Quench Your Thirsty Soul
Quench not My Spirit nor put out My holy fire Search My Word daily to learn and inquire Thirst for the Living Water sent from My throne Raise your hands in surrender to Me alone You must learn to know My voice above all you hear Do not reverence man, it is Me you must fear Wisdom will then follow and understanding to Helping you to judge what is right and what is true Quench your thirsty soul by desiring My Presence Enter My courts with thanksgiving and reverence Whoever is wise, let him take heed of these things Consider My grace and mercy that My great love brings Debbie Furey November 28, 2022 Psalm 42:1-2 – “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” Psalm 107:8-9 – “Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, 9 for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” Psalm 111:10 – “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.” Matthew 5:6 – “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Psalm 42, 63, 107
Second Birth
Make the Lord your chief delight, and also your best friend He is the only constant from beginning to your end Many Christians try to put others in that main role Then become disappointed deep in their searching soul How can others take the place of a God who’s always there? One that you can contact with a song or with a prayer He made us to have fellowship with Him on this good earth Supplying all our needs stretching back to our first birth Who is like our God among all the false ones that appear? A shelter from the storms of life, He is always near He searches until we find Him then He never lets us go Forgiveness, grace, and mercy He is willing to bestow What kind of love is this that God should die to take our place? If we believe this in our hearts all our sins He will erase Then we’ll be born again to be God’s children on this earth No one can see God’s kingdom unless they have this second birth Debbie Furey December 2, 2022 John 3:3-5 – “Jesus replied, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.’ 4 ‘How can someone be born when they are old?’ Nicodemus asked. ‘Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!’ 5 Jesus answered, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.”’ John 3:16-18 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” Psalm 37:4 – “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” John 3
Candle in the Dark
A candle in the dark stands out from far away One would not notice it in the middle of the day The absence of God’s light brings deep darkness to mankind Suppressing truth and goodness will cause them to be blind Christ’s light stands out so clear in the middle of great sin If we choose to live by truth, God’s glory shines within When we walk in love and mercy, darkness is dispelled In the brightness of this light, God’s love is then beheld If we choose to walk in love, many nations will be drawn God’s glory will arise at the brightness of our dawn Let your light so shine that they see God’s grace in you A new era rising as God’s kingdom comes in view Debbie Furey December 10, 2022 Romans 1:21 – “For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.” 1 John 2:11 – “But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.” Isaiah 60:1-3 – “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. 3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” Matthew 5:14-16 – “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Romans 1:18-32 1 John 1:5-10 Isaiah 60
Until I’m Finally Home
This world is not my home, my mansion in heaven waits My Shepherd leads the way towards the pearly gates Through valleys filled with enemies God’s favor on me rests Teaching me eternal truths and how they manifest I will fear no evil with God’s Presence at my side In paths of righteousness I’ll follow, with Him as my guide Through every circumstance I learn of His provisions God’s Word providing light for myriad decisions There are other pathways that tempt with strange allure When earthly passions lead, the dangers are obscure Until I’m caught in bondage it might seem the way to go My Shepherd seeks me out, delivering me from woe I need to persevere and choose to do God’s will Untold riches and rewards God will then fulfill I decide to live in faith of His promises to me Until I’m finally home where I’ll spend eternity Debbie Furey December 16, 2022 Psalm 23:5-6 – “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” John 14:1-3 (KJV) – “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Hebrews 11:13-16 – “All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.” Psalm 23 John 14 Hebrews 10:32-39
Declare What is Not
Live by My promises so you know My will They are not automatic for Me to just fulfill I’ve given you authority so you must learn to reign Speak out, declare what is not, by faith you will obtain When you know My will, you will be confident to act Disregard what your eyes see and know to be a fact My Word is activated by the faith you declare Bringing into this earth, a breath of heaven’s air When you declare what is not, by faith it comes alive Bringing into being those things you need not strive If you believe My Word, you will surely act Turning what you hope for into a present fact When you stand on My promises it brings Me much delight The ancients were commended for having this foresight Their actions corresponded to what they did believe By declaring what is not, by their faith they did receive Debbie Furey December 22, 2022 Romans 4:16-17 – “Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17 As it is written: ‘I have made you a father of many nations.’ He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.” Hebrews 11:1-2 – “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.” Romans 4 Hebrews 11
